I set you free

Dear world, my beloved one
As a mother I fed you with my milk
As a father I took you in my arms
as an older brother I guided you with my hands

Dear world, my beloved one
I spent nigths awake when you cried
The day you felt dry, confused and lonely
I gave you my most beautiful and poetic words

Dear world, my beloved one
I have been good and tender to you
You have always found warmth in my breast
In my shoulders you have always found a place of rest

Dear world, my beloved one
I shared my bread and my water with you
For your comfort I worked restless
I was always there to listen to you

Dear world, my beloved one
Get back to the ground, you heavy one
I do want to be rude, so listen to me
The shoulders are mine, the ground is yours

Dear world, my beloved one
From now on you are free
Farewell! Goodbye! Now you may go
set you free, free you are

Dear world, my beloved one
I will not run away or flee from you
I set you free, it is all I do
My shoulders became too weak for you

Dear world, my beloved one
I no longer have your back
Take care of yourself,
My dear, it is now on you

My respect, my love!
No longer yours,
me
